Unitrans Response to Concerns Over COVID-19

What are we doing?

* Face coverings are REQUIRED while riding the bus. Customers without coverings may not be served.

* Keep conversations to a minimum on the bus and keep conversations with the driver to necessary conversations only.

* All operable windows are open and the ventilation system is running at all times.

* Bus capacity will be limited to approx. 18 customers if possible. Customers should spread themselves out on the buses. Some seats are marked as "do not sit".

* Only engage driver and conductor as needed from a safe distance.

 

Cleaning Procedures Currently in Place:

* All interior bus hard surfaces and seats are sanitized daily.

* Drivers and conductors are instructed to wipe down their work space at the start of their shifts.

 

Customers are encouraged to bring hand santizer or other personal hygiene products they wish to use before, during, and after riding the bus at their own discretion. Any service changes will be posted on the Unitrans web site and Facebook page and will also be available by calling Unitrans at (530) 752-2877.

Extra P & Q Line Service Added for Whole Earth Festival - Friday, May 6 & Saturday, May 7

On Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7, Unitrans will operate extra P & Q line evening trips to get you home from the Whole Earth Festival!  Click here for additional trips schedule.

 

Friday, May 6: P & Q terminal departure added at 9:10 PM

Saturday, May 7: P & Q terminal departures added at 7:10 PM, 8:10 PM, and 9:10 PM

 

Face coverings strongly recommended while riding Unitrans. Fare or valid pass required to ride.

Unitrans Advisory Committee Meeting - Thursday, April 28, 2022

The Unitrans Advisory Committee (UAC) is scheduled for Thursday, April 28 at 4:00 PM. The meeting will be held online. Go to https://www.cityofdavis.org/city-hall/commissions-and-committees/unitrans-advisory-committee for link and information. At this meeting, City and Unitrans staff will review general information and review/vote on service change proposals for fiscal year 2022-2023. The agenda and staff reports will be posted here 72 hours in advance of the meeting.

Aggie Gala Bus Service on Friday, April 29

Unitrans is operating service to/from the dorms and Aggie Gala on Friday, April 29. Shuttle buses will run to Segundo, Tercero, and Cuarto dorms approximately every 20 minutes starting at 8:20 PM and ending at midnight. Click here for schedules! Shuttle operates free for undergraduates.

O Line Detour in Downtown on Saturday, April 9 from 8:00am-4:00pm

On Saturday, April 9 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the O line will operate on Third Street instead of Second Street in Downtown Davis. The O line will not operate on Second Street during this time. For O line in downtown, use bus stops on 3rd Street/C Street, 3rd Street/E Street, and 3rd Street/K Street. O line regular service on Second Street will resume after 4:00 PM.

Picnic Day Service on Saturday, April 23

On Picnic Day, Saturday. April 23, Unitrans will operate expanded weekend service with some route changes. All regular fares apply, and all Unitrans passes are accepted. Schedules are available online by selecting your route and selecting "Picnic Day, 4/23" for the "Term". Printable schedules are available here! Frequency By Line

  • 2x per hour: G (PM only), K, M, P, Q, O
  • 4x per hour: V line, G line (AM only)

 

Detours/Route Changes

  • M Line will be detoured from 8:00am until approximately 1:00pm due to road closures in downtown. Only 5th/D, 5th/G, 5th/I, Cowell/Valdora Inbound, Cowell/Drew Inbound, Cowell/Research Park Inbound, Research Park/Cowell, and Cowell/Halsey bus stops will be served during detour.
  • O Line operates via Fifth Street all day due to road closures in downtown. No direct service on B Street, Second Street, to Amtrak, or on Russell/A Street outbound. Use 5th/D, 5th/G, and 5th/I bus stops for downtown.
  • V Line operates to/from the Silo Terminal all day.
