You can now buy Unitrans passes on our website by going to unitrans.com/fares and clicking on "Buy Ticket Online" on the left side menu. 10-ride tickets, Monthly passes, and Quarterly passes are available. Once purchased, you will receive your pass in the mail within 3-5 business days. Remember - passes and fares are required starting September 30! October passes will be accepted on September 30. Welcome back to Winter Quarter! Winter is our busiest time a.k.a most crowded. Here are some helpful tips to ensure you arrive on-time to class:

1. Have your reg card, pass, or cash fare ready before the bus arrive.

2. Pack lightly or be prepared prior to boarding to take off your backpacks.

3. Leave no open seats and move ALL the way to the back of the bus and try not to bottleneck/congregate at the doors.

4. Try taking a bus that arrives on campus around :15 min after the hour (a.k.a 8:15am or 9:15am) or :30 min after the hour (a.k.a 8:30am or 9:30am). Buses arriving around :40 min and :50 min after the hour are typically OVERCROWDED.

5. Be patient and kind to your fellow riders, drivers, and conductors.

What are we doing?

* Face coverings are REQUIRED while riding the bus. Customers without coverings may not be served.

* Keep conversations to a minimum on the bus and keep conversations with the driver to necessary conversations only.

* All operable windows are open and the ventilation system is running at all times.

* Bus capacity will be limited to approx. 18 customers if possible. Customers should spread themselves out on the buses. Some seats are marked as "do not sit".

* Only engage driver and conductor as needed from a safe distance.

Cleaning Procedures Currently in Place:

* All interior bus hard surfaces and seats are sanitized daily.

* Drivers and conductors are instructed to wipe down their work space at the start of their shifts.

Customers are encouraged to bring hand santizer or other personal hygiene products they wish to use before, during, and after riding the bus at their own discretion. Any service changes will be posted on the Unitrans web site and Facebook page and will also be available by calling Unitrans at (530) 752-2877.

PICNIC DAY SERVICE

On Picnic Day, Saturday. April 20, Unitrans will operate expanded weekend service with some route changes. All regular fares apply, and all Unitrans passes are accepted. M line bus stops not served from 8:00 AM to approximately 1:00 PM:

SPRING QUARTER UPDATES

Just in time for Spring Quarter, Unitrans is adding service on the J & W lines! Starting April 1, the J & W lines will operate every 20 minutes between 12:10 PM and 6:00 PM to help alleviate afternoon crowding and get you to/from campus more conveniently! A new Silo departure is added at 0:50 minutes after the hour on both lines. There are no changes to any other bus schedules or trips.

In addition, a new morning Z Express bus will start operating when drivers are available. The new Z Express bus will pick up customers at 5th Street at Cantrill/Greystone Apartments (#072) and provide non-stop service to UC Davis campus on Monday-Thursday. When drivers are available, this express bus will depart promptly from stop #072 at 7:21 AM (Mon.-Thurs.), 8:21 AM (Mon.-Thurs.), 9:26 AM (Mon. & Wed.) and 9:56 AM (Tues. & Thurs.). The regular Z line bus will continue to serve 5th Street at Cantrill/Greystone Apartments (#072) as scheduled and provide service to all scheduled stops.

Unitrans will operate a free shuttle between the UC Davis Conference Center, Downtown Davis, and Sudwerk on Friday, March 29, 2024. The shuttle will operate approximately every 30 minutes from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
