The ZipPass app is retiring effective July 1, 2026. The last day to use the app is June 30, 2026. 

Finals Service will operate on weekdays from Friday, June 5 through Thursday, June 11. On Friday, June 5, night service will operate. All lines operate fare-free during Finals Service. The following lines have additional night service:

• Additional 9:10 PM Departure: F
• Additional 10:40 PM Departure: C
• Additional 11:10 PM Departure: D, J, L, P, Q, W, V, & Z

The VL and VX lines do not operate on Finals Week. The full V line will operate every 15 minutes during the day instead.

UC Davis Institute of Transportation Studies (ITS-Davis) and Unitrans are partnering to better understand how riders like you travel and pay for transit in Davis. Your experience is important to this research. Your response will help us better understand how riders use mobile ticketing and how Unitrans can continue improving service for the Davis community.

Do you board at The Green/Tilia Roundabout bus stop on the VX, V, and U lines?

You may have noticed yellow line decals in winter quarter and thought "what are these for?" 

Starting in Spring Quarter, to help speed up the boarding process at The Green/Tilia Roundabout, we're requesting that customers form two lines. The new yellow lines and decals show you where to form the two lines.

When a double decker bus arrives, one line will enter through the front doors and one line will enter through the rear doors.

The "Arrival Predictions" link on the main Unitrans website page and the individual real-time maps on each page now feature predictions and maps from Swiftly. Unitrans is switching to Swiftly, a real time prediction service, from Umo IQ. To use the new maps and predictions, be sure to select your route, travel direction, and bus stop. Third party services like Google Maps, Apple Maps, and the Transit App have already switched to using Swiftly provided information.

Do you use ZipPass to buy Unitrans passes and ride the bus including the UC Davis undergraduate bus pass?

You may see a ZipPass pop-up message that states the last day to add fare is February 1, 2026 and the last day to use your passes is April 30. This message only applies to Sacramento Regional Transit riders at this time.

Starting Monday, January 5, the VX and VL lines will operate every 15 minutes between 6:55 AM and 11:00 AM. This means two extra buses an hour operating through West Village when demand is highest. Regular V line service resumes at 11:00 AM and the VL and VX operate every 30 minutes each after 11:00 AM.

Unitrans will operate the higher level of service for at least the first three weeks of winter quarter and reassess service levels based on passenger demand in Week 4.

The Unitrans T line and special P line to Harper Junior High School start on Monday, August 25, 2025. Below are links to schedules in English and Spanish. These routes are focused on school bell times but are open to the general public. Youth 18 and under may ride Unitrans fare-free by showing a valid school issued student ID card, a valid digital Davis Senior High School ID, or any valid Unitrans bus pass or fare including the free Unitrans Youth Pass.
