Service Hours
Day Service
Monday-Friday 6:30 AM to 8:10 PM departures (academic year) and Monday-Friday 6:55 AM to 8:10 PM departures (summer/breaks).
Night Service
Monday-Thursday 8:30 PM – 10:40 PM departure. There is no night service on Fridays except during Finals service.
Weekend Service (G, K, M, O, P, Q, U)
9:00 AM – 6:10 PM departures with P & Q line departures at 8:00 AM. Operates on most Saturdays, Sundays, and selected holidays. All lines go to/from MU Terminal.
Unitrans Business Office
The Unitrans Business Office is located at South Hall, Room 5 (Basement Level), providing pass sales and transit information. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM during regular service (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 - 4:00 PM during the summer).
Telephone hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM during regular service (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 - 4:00 PM during summer). Automated bus arrival information is available via NextBus (530-752-2877, Press 1) at all times service is operating.

Our Buses
Unitrans is well-known for our three historic London double-decker buses as well as four modern double-decker buses. The modern double-decker buses run on the J and V lines in regular service during the academic year and during the summer. The historic London double-decker buses may operate on the B and G lines in regular service during the academic year as noted in the printed schedule. Click for B line or G line. One of the historic London double-deckers has been converted from a diesel engine to run on clean natural gas. Unitrans’ CNG double-decker is unique in North America, and perhaps in the world. Although the double-decker bus is the symbol of Unitrans, most of our service is provided by modern buses fueled by compressed natural gas and starting in 2022, zero-emission electric buses comprise approximately a quarter of our fleet.
All single deck buses and modern double-decker buses are equipped with ramps for customers using mobility aids.
Our Team
All Unitrans drivers and supervisors, as well as most support staff, are UC Davis undergraduate students working part-time. Our drivers undergo extensive training and testing prior to going into service. Unitrans safety record is among the best among public transit systems in the U.S. All of our employees pride themselves on providing safe and friendly service. Our unique workforce is one of the many things that makes Unitrans such a special service here in Davis!
