Ride Unitrans on Picnic Day, Saturday, April 12

On Picnic Day, Saturday, April 12, Unitrans will operate expanded weekend service with detours and changes. Expect large crowds, heavy traffic, and delays all day. Unitrans will accept all regular fares and passes and has a special discounted ZipPass app only Picnic Day Pass (for non-undergrads and non-passholders) that entitles you to unlimited rides all day for $2.75. To buy your in-app only Picnic Day Pass, download the free ZipPass app, set up an account, and purchase the Picnic Day Pass. All Unitrans weekend bus lines will start service at 8:00 AM and end service between 6:40 PM and 7:00 PM. See below for more frequencies and more information by line.

Alcohol and food are not allowed on the buses. Any passengers that violate Unitrans rules/policies or passengers who cannot get on/off the bus on their own will not be allowed on the bus or may be asked to leave the bus.

Service Details:

G line: 20-minute service all day from 8:00 AM to 6:50 PM

K line: 20-minute service all day from 8:00 AM to 6:50 PM

M line: 20-minute service all day from 8:00 AM to 6:50 PM. The M line will be detoured all day and will not serve Downtown or Richards Blvd. M line buses will operate via 5th Street to Pole Line Road. Only 5th/D Streets, 5th/G Streets, 5th/L Streets, Cowell/Valdora Inbound, Cowell/Drew Inbound, Cowell/Research Park Inbound bus stops will be served during detour.

O line: 30-minute service all day from 8:00 AM to 6:40 PM. The O line will operate via Fifth Street all day due to road closures and traffic in downtown. No direct service on B Street, Second Street, or to Amtrak. Use 5th/D Street, 5th/G Street, and 5th/L Street bus stops for downtown.

P line: 30-minute service all day from 8:00 AM to 6:40 PM

Q line: 30-minute service all day from 8:00 AM to 6:40 PM

U line: No service, see V line

V line: 10-minute service all day from 8:00 AM to 6:40 PM. All West Village buses will operate to/from the Silo Terminal.

For schedules, go to unitrans.com, click on the "Routes" menu on the top menu bar. From the Routes menu, select your bus line then under "Term", select Special/Exceptions Weekend/Holiday for the Picnic Day schedule.

In-person assistance will be available on Picnic Day at the Memorial Union Terminal at the Customer Service tent across from the O line boarding location between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
