Title VI & Language Assistance Program Update
The City of Davis & Unitrans are soliciting feedback on an update to their federally required Title VI and Language Assistance Program that applies to their public transit programs only. Click here for the draft plan.
The Title VI and Language Assistance Programs provide information on the City and Unitrans’ commitment to not discriminating based on race, color, and national origin, a customer’s rights associated with Title VI, and how to file a complaint. The Language Assistance Program provides information on what transit information is translated, what languages information is translated into, and how to request translated transit information if not available. The standard three languages that Unitrans and the City translate public transit related vital documents and important information are English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.
The City will hold a public hearing at the Transportation Commission meeting on the draft program update to solicit feedback on Monday, August 10 at 6:00 PM. Go to f https://www.cityofdavis.org/city-hall/commissions-and-committees/transportation-commission or information on attending the meeting.
